‘This course, written with ICT coordination teachers in mind, will assist schools to develop concrete action plans and strategies to integrate ICT into learning and teaching across the curriculum. The course will introduce participants with a range of tools and processes to assist them in developing and implementing an effective e-learning for their school.’

Technical Requirements
All our courses require broadband Internet access (Min of 1mb recommended) and participants need to be familiar with using the internet, downloading and installing software.
Course Objectives
The core objective of this course is to enable teachers to adopt a strategic view of ICT deployment and utilisation across their school. Teachers will be able to identify and plan new and improved applications of ICT within their school, apply techniques and tools to their school processes, and evaluate the success of planning for future ICT enabled projects.
Expected Outcomes
Participants will have an understanding of the importance of developing an e-learning plan which emanates from the overall school plan and is centred on a vision for e-learning in the school. They will be able to review current practice in the school through the use of the e-learning roadmap, develop the plan and ensure that the curriculum goals set out in the NCCA ICT framework are being met.
Course Duration
All courses are delivered online, provide approximately 20 hours of study time and can be taken anytime, anywhere between January and April 2011.
