Course Objectives
Teachers will be enabled to locate and create interactive educational resources which maximise the potential of the Interactive Whiteboard in the classroom. They will gain an understanding of how the use of ICT in practical ways can make learning more stimulating for their students.
Expected Outcomes
The participants will develop their ICT skills through the location, manipulation, organisation and creation of curriculum resources suitable for use with the Interactive Whiteboard. They will understand how the integration of this process into their everyday teaching will help their students’ learning.
Assessment Criteria
The course tutor will review the forum postings, practical work and course reflective learning log completed by the participant to ensure that:
- Teachers have made a reflective posting at the end of each lesson reflecting on an aspect of how the Interactive Whiteboard will be used in their classroom.
- Teachers have created a curriculum resource using the Powerpoint (or flipchart software of their choice) and uploaded it to the course VLE.
- They have written a reflective post on how they think the resource will engage their students.

Delivered online, this course can be taken anytime, anywhere between Thursday July 1st and Friday 27th August, 2010. Participants will be encouraged to engage meaningfully with course content for approximately 20 hours.
