Technical Requirements
All our courses require broadband Internet access (Min of 1mb recommended) and participants need to be familiar with using the internet, downloading and installing software.
Course Objectives
Teachers will be enabled to create digital stories rich in multimedia that can be used as curriculum resources. They will gain an understanding of how the use of ICT in practical ways can make learning more engaging and effective for their students.
Expected Outcomes
The participants will develop their ICT skills through the creation of a digital story and making use of a range of freely available software. In creating their own resources teachers will understand how the integration of this process into their everyday teaching will support and enhance student learning.
Assessment Criteria
Teachers will create a multimedia rich digital story along with other digital curriculum resources. In addition they will reflect and share how they think these resources will engage their students.
Course Duration
Delivered online, this course can be taken anytime, anywhere between Wednesday July 1st and Friday 28th August, 2009. You will be expected to engage meaningfully with course content for approximately 20 hours. The course will be facilitated by our team of TeachNet facilitators and at the end of the course we will provide you with a Continuous Professional Development Record.
