Technical Requirements
All our courses require broadband Internet access (Min of 1mb recommended) and participants need to be familiar with using the internet, downloading and installing software.
Course Objectives
Teachers will learn how to locate and integrate Web 2.0 resources across the curriculum and understand how these tools can impact teacher and student learning.
Expected Outcomes
Teachers will be enabled to use the latest Web 2.0 technologies to enrich the use of the internet in their teaching and assist their students to become creators and sharers of content on the Internet
Assessment Criteria
Teachers will make a number of reflective postings on how Web 2.0 tools can be used in their classrooms. Teachers will design and create their own education blog. They will also contribute appropriate teaching and learning web based resources to the course social bookmarking page.
Course Duration
Delivered online, this course can be taken anytime, anywhere between Wednesday July 1st and Friday 28th August, 2009. You will be expected to engage meaningfully with course content for approximately 20 hours. The course will be facilitated by our team of TeachNet facilitators and at the end of the course we will provide you with a Continuous Professional Development Record.
